Big advertiser joins Facebook Ad boycott || Falling of shares
The campaign
of boycotting Facebook Ads has been organized by group of NAACP, Anti-defamation
League, Common Sense, Free Press and Color of Change, over handling it’s hate
speech and misinformation.
“Stop Hate For Profit” campaign organized by US civil rights group, which sparked due to provocative post of Donald Trump, is now a force which Facebook can’t ignore.
Big
companies owning brands like Coca Cola, Dove Soap, Ben&Jerry's ice cream, largest
companies such as Verizon, Unilever, TheNorthFace etc , more than 90 advertisers have joined
the growing advertising boycott against Facebook and Instagram.
According to
research, it is considered that share of Facebook and Twitter has fallen more
than 7%. Also Mark Zukerberg loses $7 Billion due to advertising boycott.
